Lighthouse Event Calendar
WINTER 2026

Unless otherwise noted, all events will take place at Lighthouse HQ (513 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington).

Lighthouse events are open to youth in grades 5-12, and new faces are ALWAYS welcome!

January 4th from 6:30-8:00 pm – Lighthouse Life Night

Lighthouse Life Nights will be offered once a month and will be a mix of games, conversation, and activities centered around a particular topic for each night. This semester, we will continue walking through the Bible together and digging into the Gospels and other New Testament themes as we explore God’s story of love and redemption for the world.

January 11th from 1:00-5:00 pm – Skiing/Snow Tubing at Sunburst

Come enjoy an afternoon of winter fun with friends as we hit the slopes together!  We will carpool from Lighthouse and travel to Sunburst in Kewaskum. Students can choose between snow tubing, skiing, or snowboarding and Lighthouse will cover the rental/lift costs. Please come dressed for the weather and bring along some money for snacks if you would like. Must RSVP and register on Sunburst’s online portal by Sunday, January 4th.

*Note, Sunburst has switched over to being a cashless facility. There are machines onsite to convert cash to a preloaded Mastercard, which can be used there as well as anywhere Mastercard is accepted.

Saturday, January 17th from 12:30-4:30 pm – Trip to the American Black Holocaust Museum in Milwaukee

Join Lighthouse as well as other youth groups from around greater Milwaukee as we gather for an educational and reflective afternoon in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We’ll take part in a guided tour of the museum and afterwards there will be time for discussion and debriefing to help process the experience as we take a look at how racism has affected (and continues to affect) our nation, and how we as Christians are called to respond.

Please RSVP no later than Sunday, January 4th.

January 25th from 6:30-8:00 pm – Lighthouse Life Night

February 8th, Time TBD – Winter Olympics

Celebrate the 2026 Winter Olympics with an afternoon of fun, group bonding, and a little friendly competition! Youth will be invited to compete as teams in a variety of modified winter games including hockey, skiing, bobsledding, and more. And no need to worry about the cold, because all games will take place indoors. Please RSVP by February 1st.

February 13th-15th  – Quake Retreat in WI Dells

We will once again be attending a weekend retreat called Quake, hosted at the Wilderness Resort in WI Dells. Live music, speakers, workshops, games, and of course some time to enjoy the waterpark are all included.

The cost for this event is $200 and students MUST pre-register. If you have not registered and would like to go, you need to get in touch with Christin ASAP!

More information including drop off/pick up times as well as packing list will be shared at the beginning of February with those students who have signed up to attend.

February 22nd from 6:30-8:00 pm – Birthday Kits and Game Night

We will be putting together birthday kits to deliver to our local food pantries. Donations of cake mix, frosting, candles, and festive plates and napkins will be collected by each of our 5 supporting congregations and assembled by our Lighthouse youth. After assembling, any remaining time will be spent enjoying a game night together.

March 8th from 6:30-8:00 pm – Lighthouse Life Night

March 15th from 6:00-8:00 pm – Bowling Event

Come enjoy a fun evening of bowling at Circle B Recreation in Cedarburg*.

Bowling, shoe rental, and snacks are all included.

*Students can be dropped off/picked up from Lighthouse HQ and we will carpool together. If you prefer to meet us at Circle B, that’s fine, please just be sure to let Christin know!

March 22nd from 6:30-8:00 pm – Easter Baskets for Family Promise

Lighthouse will once again be partnering with Family Promise to assemble Easter baskets for the children they are currently serving. Come help us put together the baskets filled with fun treats and toys as a way to share God’s love with our neighbors this Easter.

All participants are asked to fill out a Lighthouse permission slip/medical form once per program year (aug. 2025-aug. 2026).

Click here for a copy of that form and please bring it with you to your first event or email to youth.director@lighthouseyouth.org
