Lighthouse Event Calendar
September-December 2026

Unless otherwise noted, all events will take place at Lighthouse HQ (513 W. Grand Ave. in Port Washington).

Lighthouse events are open to youth in grades 5-12, and new faces are ALWAYS welcome!

September 13th from 6:30-8:00 pm – Cookout and Kickoff

We hope everyone had a great summer, but we also can’t wait to welcome you back to Lighthouse!

Join us as we kickoff another awesome program year with a campfire over at Grand Avenue UMC (right next to Lighthouse). Roast hot dogs and marshmallows, play games, meet new friends, and hear about all the exciting things planned for the year. Please bring a chair to sit on and think about who you can invite to join us for this fun evening.

September 27th from 12:00-6:30 pm – Milwaukee Brewers Game

Play ball! Come celebrate a historic season for the Brewers as we cheer them on in the final regular-season game. We will meet at Living Hope Church and carpool down to American Family Field. Game tickets and parking are covered, but students are welcome to bring $ to purchase concessions if you would like – please note, the stadium has gone cashless and all carry-in bags must be clear. See American Family Field’s website for more info.

You must RSVP by September 13th in order to participate.

*Drop off at Living Hope Lutheran Church (851 W. Dekora St.) in Saukville. Please eat lunch before you come!

October 4th from 6:30-8:00 pm – Lighthouse Life Night

Lighthouse Life Nights will be offered once a month and will be a mix of games, conversation, and activities centered around a particular topic for each night. This year, we will be highlighting different topics of spiritual growth including prayer, worship, and how faith impacts our daily life.

October 11th from 3:00-6:30 pm – Pumpkin Farm and Pumpkin Carving

Looking for an afternoon of fall fun with some friends? Then join us as we travel to Spieker’s Pumpkin Farm along with the youth from Vineyard Church in Grafton. Navigate your way through their giant corn maze and enjoy a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch. Afterwards, we’ll head back to Lighthouse for dinner and end with a pumpkin carving/painting contest. Lighthouse will cover the cost of the activities and dinner, but students may bring along a little money if they wish to purchase additional goodies at the farm. Please RSVP by October 1st

October 25th from 6:30-8:00 pm – Stone Soup Service Project

Join us as we partner with Stone Soup, a ministry of Christ the King Lutheran Church, to create some delicious homemade soup to share with those in need. No cooking experience necessary and all supplies will be provided.

*Drop off/pick up from Grand Avenue UMC (505 W. Grand Ave.), right next to Lighthouse.

November 1st from 6:30-8:00 pm – Lighthouse Life Night

November 15th from 6:00-7:00 pm – Friendsgiving

In the season of giving thanks, we are so thankful for all of the amazing students that make up Lighthouse! Join us for a night of celebrating one another as we gather for a goofy potluck-style meal together. This year’s theme is… “Nacho Ordinary Thanksgiving” featuring a nacho/walking taco bar with all the fixings and some other fiesta-style fun!

Saturday, November 21st from 10:00-2:00 – Feeding America Service Project

Each year, Milwaukee hosts a huge “Stuff the Bus” holiday food drive. This day is the last day of the collection and we will be partnering with Feeding America to help them sort through the abundance of donations that come in. Please meet at Lighthouse and we’ll carpool down to Milwaukee together.

Please RSVP by November 15th in order to fill out the necessary registration information with Feeding America.

Tuesday, December 1st from 5:00-8:00 pm – Giving Tuesday Fundraiser

Please mark your calendars and save the date for our big, annual fundraising event! We will once again be holding a spaghetti supper and silent auction fundraiser, and we NEED your help to make it happen. Lighthouse youth and families can assist with tasks such as requesting auction items, advertising, serving food and cleaning up, and of course, attending the event and showing your support for Lighthouse! Lots more information on this will be coming soon!

*This event will be held at Parkside Community UCC Church (166 W. Dekora St. in Saukville).

December 6th from 6:30-8:00 pm – “Gift a Child” Christmas Shopping

Lighthouse will be sponsoring children again through the “Gift a Child” program with the Port Food Pantry. This program supports local families who may be struggling financially by helping to purchase Christmas gifts for their children. Join us as we go shopping to purchase these gifts for kids in need and help spread some Christmas cheer!

December 13th from 6:30-8:00 pm – Lighthouse Life Night

December 20th from 6:00-8:00 pm – Christmas Movie Night

Put on your ugly sweater or your favorite pjs and settle in for a classic Christmas movie night complete with dinner, popcorn, and hot cocoa.

All participants are asked to fill out a Lighthouse permission slip/medical form once per program year (aug. 2025-aug. 2026).
